The Fireworks Galaxy

Fireworks are a hallmark tradition for Americans on the Fourth of July. It is only appropriate to acknowledge the wonder of the spiral galaxy nicknamed the “Fireworks Galaxy”, otherwise identified as NGC 6946. The eight observed supernovas within this galaxy only add to its nickname and uniqueness.
